This 1-day Canadian Red Cross course teaches workers how to deal with the most common workplace first aid emergencies. Course includes CPR level A (adult), airway obstruction, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), as well as emergency scene management, dealing with shock, spinal injuries, minor wound management, major bleeding, internal bleeding, poisons and minor burns. Participants spend the majority of the course doing hands on first aid, and participating in first aid scenarios. This course is recognized by WorkSafeBC and certification is valid for 3 years. CPR “C” add-on - This 30-minute add-on course expands on the information covered in the OFA 1 class (CPR level A). The additional information covered will include CPR for an infant and infant-related technique modifications. This is a hands-on course, and the Canadian Red Cross certification is valid for 3 years. Written test for CPR. Photo ID required.
